About Liz Bohan, LCPC
It’s time to find joy in life again.
I’m a Frederick-based therapist who specializes in helping anxious and overwhelmed women reconnect with themselves and find calm amidst the chaos.
please Hear me when I say:
You are not alone in your struggles to find peace and joy again.
Can you remember a time when overwhelm, anxiety, and overthinking weren’t the “norm”… But those days feel like a distant memory. Don’t you wish you had the tools and understanding to change that? You’ve come to the right place.
How I work
At the core of my approach to therapy is a belief that we all have “parts” and that there are no bad parts.
I’m Liz, and I help anxious, overwhelmed women just like you: ones that have it within them to reconnect with themselves but just need the support to get there.
I help my clients find joy, balance, and harmony by equipping them with the tools they need to better understand themselves.
Most of today’s solutions for women’s anxiety and overwhelm are focused on one-size-fits-all coping skills or surface-level management of symptoms, leading so many women to feel if those coping skills don’t work, they just have to live with anxiety taking over their lives. I know that your circumstances are unique, so I will work with you on a deeper level, getting to know all of your anxious parts to help you break free from anxiety and create harmony and balance in your life.
First, we get to know the parts of you that are causing anxiety, overthinking, and overwhelm. Then, we learn what these part’s intentions are for you and how we can free these parts from the extreme roles they have taken on. Through our work together, you’ll understand your system of parts on a deep level, be able to connect with yourself and become the caretaker for all of your anxious and overwhelmed parts.
I am dedicated to helping women live and feel the way they deserve.
My training in working with Women’s Issues means I have the expertise you need and deserve when trying to overcome anxiety and overwhelm. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to be a woman struggling with anxiety.
I get it because I’ve lived it myself. I know that sometimes life feels so chaotic and overwhelming, and it’s hard to find joy in the day-to-day. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
